Notes On A Video Musical Existence

Shop talk. 

My musical influences are many. We are what we listen to, in a way. [Currently, my turntable burns up Tom Waits, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, T Monk, and John Coltrane.] 

I am big into vinyl, and sport a vintage BeoGram turntable and a Marantz receiver, a pair of Bose 501's. 

My dna consists of 1960/70 Top 40 and the many anonymous artists from that era, as well as the Beatles, Stones, Gordon Lightfoot, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Black Oak Arkansas, Spooky Tooth, Mel Torme', Ella, Billy Holiday, Merle, Hank Sr, Eddie Arnold. I also have spent time absorbing Jackson Browne, Tim Buckley, Rickie Lee Jones, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, Tracey Chapman, Paul Simon, David Byrne, Tom Waits, Jimmy Spheeris, Nick Drake, Buck Owens, Phil Ochs, too many more to name here. I also am a huge classical music aficionado, having collected much of the old Everest label issues. I'd like to release my next record on vinyl.
